Police are investigating after a car collided with a building in a busy residential area of Newcastle.
They said a man was arrested and charged with dangerous driving.
The man, who has not been named, is due to appear at Newcastle Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
Police said the incident happened at about 2:30pm on Wednesday in the area of St Andrew’s Square and Newhaven Street.
A woman in her 50s was in the front seat of the car when it crashed into the building, police said.
She was taken to the Royal Newcastle Hospital where she was treated for minor injuries.
Police said they were not treating the incident as suspicious and are still investigating.
It is not known whether the car’s occupants were in the car at the time of the collision.
In July last year, a motorist died after a van crashed into a building on the Newcastle-Leeds Road in the city’s east, killing the driver.
